Music to My Years

MUSIC TO MY YEARS is a program to capture the creative side of senior citizens through art form such as Facebook, You-tube video art, twitter, and other social media.  The purpose is  to promote the MUSIC TO MY YEARS event, senior citizens, senior citizen facilities and put our mission statement into action in order to engage the community in the historical importance evidenced in the lives of senior citizens.

The video compilations will be put on the Senior Education Ministries website to engage the community into voting online and see the creativity evidenced in the lives of our senior citizens in Terre Haute.

MUSIC TO MY YEARS EVENT will allow senior facilities a few weeks to develop their presentation then each facility participating will be filmed and their video placed online for the public to view and vote. 

MUSIC TO MY YEARS awards will be given at the end of the vote tally. 

INDIANA STATE UNIVERSITY PRACTICUM STUDENTS WORK WITH PARTICIPATING LOCATIONS TO COMPLETE THEIR ENTRY, FILM THEIR ENTRY, SET UP PUBLIC VOTING, TALLY VOTES, AND PRESENT TROPHY TO WINNING ENTRY.  THEY ALSO PRESENT PARTICIPATION TREATS TO ALL INDIVIDUALS WHO PARTICIPATED AT EACH LOCATION.
